The Friends of St John's Chapel, President His Grace the Duke of Richmond and Gordon, support the work of the Churches Conservation Trust and work in partnership with them to:-
- Increase awareness of the chapel and its history.
- Encourage greater use of the chapel for community events.
Headed by an enthusiastic committee the Friends have identified some possible projects which will enhance the chapel including replacing "missing" features such as the altar cloth and communion-rail kneelers, and also furnishing one of the box-pews in Georgian style.

The Friends would fund these projects partly from membership subscriptions but also by arranging fund-raising events.
In addition the Friends provide a pool of volunteers to assist the Trust's custodian to care for the chapel.
Membership, at £10 per annum, is open to all and even if you are unable to provide physical assistance you can still give valuable support simply by belonging.
All members will be entitled to vote at the Annual General Meeting and receive a regular newsletter keeping them informed about forthcoming events and progress with the Friends' projects.
By joining The Friends of St John's Chapel you can make a difference by assisting the Trust to ensure that this lovely building remains open for the enjoyment of the public with expanded usage.
